The setting is an attractive large, bright and airy Victorian house with a homely feeling. It meets all the child care standards but continues to be a place where people would love to live.

The Preschool Unit

The Preschool unit have been talking about the different types of weather and used paint to create different weather scenes including rain, sun and snow. They have also been experimenting with mixing different things together and creating their own science experiments including making an erupting volcano in the garden.

This week they are creating colourful pictures for Bonfire Night and Diwali and are beginning to talk about their next topic of culture and values. Within this they will be creating their own class rules and having lots of discussions around being kind to each other.

Towards the end of November the children in the Preschool unit will be focusing on occupations and will be having a visit from a Policeman and a Nurse. If any parents would like to come into the nursery to talk to the children about their job role please speak to a member of the Preschool unit.
